Now here's a tasty festive treat for all the family
to enjoy. They are quick and easy to make and
you may even let the kids' help to make 'em!

Chocolate Orange cookies with a cinnamon coat
are so delicious that one is never enough.

Cookie Dough

175 g / 6 oz softened butter
175 g / 6 oz caster sugar
1 Large egg
1 tsp Orange extract
9 oz plain flour
1 oz cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp caster sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

1: Pre-heat oven 200 c / 400 f / Gas 6
2: Beat butter and sugar together until light
and fluffy.

3: Beat in egg and Orange Extract
4: Sieve in flour, cocoa powder and baking

5: Mix together until a soft dough has been formed.

6: Mix caster sugar and cinnamon onto a plate.

7: Roll the dough into walnut sized balls and place
on a lined baking tray and gently pat down  just
a little.

8: Ensure each one is evenly spaced and place in the
oven for 8-10 mins.
9: Once removed from the oven allow to stand for
5 mins before transferring to a cooling rack.

10: Get in there quick and enjoy them before
everyone else does!

Normally all the baking is done by my wonderful wife Kat,
leaving me to do the main cooking which I love, but I thought
I would knock up these treats and ta dah! they were a success.
